A Little About Me:

In the 80's prior to the internet boom, when few people had seen a personal computer, let alone owned one. I was doing what I love to do, cooking dinner for my family. It was just starting to get dark outside; it must have been around 6:30 p.m. when I heard a long, loud and screeching auto accident happening just outside my home on Moulton Parkway in Laguna Hills, California.

I dashed out the door and saw a wrecked car upside down on the median, pointed in the opposite direction it had been traveling, tires still spinning, and no driver or passengers inside. I starting searching the surrounding area for the driver...

His face was in the curb, and his body was limp, I pulled him over and checked for respirations and a pulse. He had a heartbeat, but he wasn't breathing...  I got his air way open, and then held his mouth open allowing him to breathe till emergency services arrived.  Unfortunately he passed away about 12 hours later.

A few weeks later an IBM PS2, Model 25, 8086  computer with a 20 MB hard drive,  appeared on my doorstep.  It had been tweaked to run at 16 bits, rather than its norm of 8 bits. It was the finest computer I had ever seen. Most all computers at that time had duo floppy disk drives.

It seems the gentleman who had been in that auto accident was a 'honcho' at IBM, and that was the company's gift of appreciation for my efforts.

I went to City College to take a course in, drum roll please...  "DOS" lol. No such thing as Windows back then. Within a few years the "Price Club" started getting computer software in stock, items such as "Math Blaster Plus" and "Reader Rabbit", so my children, nieces and nephews got a big kick out of the new computer too. Those 'kids'  are all grown up now, with families of their own.

Here I am, retired from Capistrano Unified School District, an empty nester, at home playing on my computer, and loving every minute of it.....

Ageless, living, playing and working in the Pacific Northwest, with frequent trips to California for the boating, friends and of course the grandchildren.

I like to surround myself with inspiring people from a wide variety of beliefs, fields and backgrounds. I like to encourage, challenge and stimulate, and enjoy the company of others with the same characteristics.
